What they did to impact the Civil Rights Movement (4-5 sentences) (9 pts)
Ruby Bridges was the first black girl to go to an all white school. She was fought against every step of the way. The U.S. Marshalls had to walk her into school to keep mobs from attacking her. Ruby had to be in a classroom with just her and a teacher. She fought for her education to get a better job and more respect.

On a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high), how important do you think this person was to the movement? (Explain your reasoning in 4-5 sentences) (9 pts)
I think this person is a 8. It shows how mean whites are even to little kids. She gave up so much just to get an education. White parents would not let her be in the same room as their children. It just showed that nothing can stop you if you really want something. I don't think it should have come to Ruby having to walk in with U.S Marshalls. It just shows how don't care about blacks at all.
